You may have seen on social media, but our Summer Hobby Project is well under way. Here's how to get involved, and make the most of your summer hobby!
The tabletop hobby is one of imagination and creativity. But for many, the hobby also brings other words to mind, expensive, costly, overpriced, the list goes on.
Rising prices across the industry are making it harder for new players to join in, and that’s something I’ve felt personally.
As a kid, I loved miniatures. I’d spend summers painting and repainting the few models I could afford, dreaming up worlds and stories with what little I had. That experience shaped me, and it’s partly why I started Ironclad Forge. But I never forgot what it felt like to be priced out of the hobby I loved.
So this summer, I’m doing something about it.
From now until 3rd September, all Host Boxes (our army sets) are available for just £30, a 40% discount. These sets are designed to give you everything you need to dive into the hobby, whether you’re building your first force or expanding your collection.

Build Your Own Host Box
Can't find the Host Box for you? Not a problem at all! For the duration of the Project, we're offering Bespoke Host Boxes tailored to your dream project, using every single miniature in our range, including some that we do not even sell through normal channels! (all fully licensed with KZK). Here's how it works:
- Reach Out: Send me a message via the contact form on the website, send an email to Makatironclad@gmail.com, or alternatively drop me a DM on Instagram.
- Tell Me About Your Project: Share your theme, preferred scale, game system, or any specific models you’re after (browsing our webstore might help here!).
- I’ll Design Your Host: I’ll curate a set of miniatures that match your concept, and still honour the £30 summer price. (All while giving you between £51 and £60 worth of items)
- You Approve It: Once you’re happy, I’ll print and ship your custom Host Box to you without delay.
This is your hobby. Your world. Your army.
Why This Matters
As an avid hobbyist myself, I know all too well how challenging it can be to put your own spin on your collections, especially if you're going for a non-standard theme. Usually, this means buying multiple boxes to build a single box worth of miniatures, effectively doubling the cost per model, this is my attempt to get around that hurdle. Want to build an alliance of men and dwarves? No problem! Want to create some savage reavers backed up by spider riding goblins, right this way!
